"STAND TALL FOR THE RULE OF LAW"Ukraine Short

When disease breaks you, medicine heals, when war breaks you, law heals.” - Harold Koh On December 7th, 2023 our film team and a delegation from the American Society of International Law crossed the Polish border into Lviv, Ukraine, to meet with members of the Ukraainian Association of International Law for a 3-day summit. The timing of the event marked the 75th Anniversary of the Genocide Convention and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, both documents with deep roots in Lviv. The mission was to ask and seek to answer the question “how do international and Ukrainian lawyers, ‘stand tall for the rule of law’ in the face of Putin’s ongoing war in Ukraine?”. Mark Rinehart (director), Summer Wright (producer), and Nic Mclean (DP) joined forces with a Ukrainian local crew to make this short film happen. Matthew Sultan and Stephen Lee were on the decks in post production.
